Uptown Girl is a self-published mini-comic that's sold mostly in Twin Cities comics shops. This collection of the first year (in a nice, sturdy trade) shows creator Bob Lipski having the time of his life with the cartoonish adventures of Uptown Girl (yes, that's her name) and her friends Ruby Tuesday and Rocket Man as they fight crime, right wrongs, draw comics, but mostly just goof around. It's a great wacky fun read, but if you want to justify it, you can look at it as a finely-honed sociological study of Gen Y'ers finding their way in a complex world. Or something like that.
