[From DC Comics: In the mid-sixties there was an explosion of new superhero titles from virtually every comics publisher on the market - ACG, Archie, Charlton, Dell, and Gold Key - not to mention new titles from up-and-coming Marvel Comics and mainstay DC Comics. But there was one new title from that time that still stands out all these decades later, published by a then-new comics division of a small paperback publisher with the name of Tower Comics - T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents. The T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents were a secret team of super-technology-powered policemen - Dynamo and his Thunderbelt; Noman, the multibodied living android, and his cloak of invisibility; Menthor and his psionic helmet - assembled by the United Nations to combat tyranny and evil across the world, especially the menace of the Warlord and his deadly minions. The creative mastermind behind T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents was the legendary Wally Wood, and it would prove to be his longest sustained involvement with any single title. In addition to packaging the books for Tower, Wood contributed pencils, inks, stories and the work of his friends in the comics industry - and what friends they were: Gil Kane, Reed Crandall, Dan Adkins, Mike Sekowsky, George Tuska, Dick Ayers, Mike Esposito, John Giunta, Len Brown, Larry Ivie and more all contributed art of scripts to the early issues. Here, at last (and after numerous attempts at revivals of the title), old fans and new can see where it all started...]
