Skreemer
(6-issue mini; w Peter Milligan; a Brett Ewins, Steve Dillon).
[From DC Comics: "They tied him up in a nice clean sheet, /
And laid him out upon the bed, / With a gallon of whiskey at his feet, /
And a barrel of porter at his head." So go the words to "Finnegan's
Wake," a song from better times. Times when the world wasn't divided
into criminals and their prey. Times when the gangs and their skreemer assassins
didn't rule the streets with guns and death. Veto is the greatest skreemer
of them allso renowned that the name Skreemer has become his alone.
He has clawed his way from the very bottom to the very top in a culture
of force and power, and his will is unbreakable. But the world has kept
turning, and the gangs' time is over. A new order is emerging, and everyone
accepts it. Everyone except Veto Skreemer.]
